Burberry Prorsum @ London Fashion Week Fall 2016

Hoje apresento-vos a nova colecção de Outono/Inverno da Burberry Prorsum. A Burberry é uma casa de moda britânica e, atrevo-me a dizer que será, talvez, a mais famosa e conhecida mundialmente. Fundada em 1856 por Thomas Burberry, esta marca de luxo tem não só colecções de roupa e de acessórios, como também está presente nos campos da joalharia, perfumaria e maquilhagem. Para além do seu tão famoso padrão, uma das imagens de marca da Burberry são as suas “trench coats”, criadas em 1880. Até ao momento, a Burberry conta com três colecções distintas: Burberry Prorsum, Burberry London e Burberry Brit.

Today I will present you guys the new Burberry Prorsum’s Autumn/Winter collection. Burberry is a British fashion house and I even dare to say that it must be, perhaps, the most famous worldwide. Founded in 1856 by Thomas Burberry, this luxury brand has not only clothing and accessory collections, but also jewellery, perfumery and make-up collections. Besides their famous pattern, one of its branding images are their trench coats, created in 1880. As of now, Burberry has three distinct collections: Burberry Prorsum, Burberry London and Burberry Brit.

If we compare it with the previously shown collections, this one is also based on dark tons, such as black, blue and brown. However, the use of metalised colours (outfits 1, 2, 3 and 12) has given a splash of colour to this collection. And it seems that the traditional trench coats are merging itself with the more traditional Winter coats (outfits 1, 4, 7 and 8), creating a new generation of coats (outfits 10 and 12). This collections presents other trends: leather (outfit 10), fur (outfit 8), and patterns (outfits 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12). The dresses shown on outfits 6 and 11 are my favourite pieces of clothing.

Comparativamente com as colecções anteriores, esta também se baseia muito em tons escuros, como o preto, o azul e o castanho. Contudo, a utilização de tons metalizados (conjuntos 1, 2, 3 e 12) fornece alguma cor a esta colecção. E parece que as tradicionais trench coats estão-se a misturar com os tradicionais casacos de Inverno (conjuntos 1, 4, 7 e 8), dando origem a uma nova leva de casacos (conjuntos 10 e 12). Esta colecção apresenta ainda as seguintes tendências: pele (conjunto 10), pêlo (conjunto 8) e padrões (conjuntos 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 e 12). Os vestidos dos conjuntos 6 e 11 são as minhas peças favoritas.

A colecção para homem não se distancia muito daquilo que é a colecção para mulher. O padrão de cores continua a estar focado em tons escuros, especialmente no castanho, azul, preto e cinzento. O foco desta colecção vai para os tradicionais casacos de Inverno (conjunto 3), ao qual se juntam agora uns casacos de estilo militar (conjuntos 1 e 2). O primeiro conjunto, sobretudo devido a esta peça – mas muito também graças modelo, shhhhh – é o meu favorito.

The men’s collection isn’t too different from the women’s collection. The pattern of colours is still focused around dark colours, especially focused on brown, blue, black, and grey. The focus of this collection is on tradicional Winter coats (outfit 3), which are then joined by a sort of military-inspired coats (outfits 1 and 2). The first outfit, especially due to this piece of clothing – but also a lot thanks to the model, shhhhhh – is my favourite from this collection.

Alexander McQueen @ London Fashion Week Fall 2016

Hoje apresento-vos a nova colecção de Outono/Inverno de Alexander McQueen. Esta é uma casa de moda de luxo britânica, criada e fundada pelo própria Alexander McQueen (falecido) em 1992. Esta casa de moda tem como directora criativa, Sarah Burton. Desde o seu início que esta casa de moda é conhecida pela irreverência das suas peças, bem como das apresentações extravagantes das suas colecções. Esta colecção tem o seguinte título, “The Spirit of the Rose“.

Today I am presenting you guys the Alexander McQueen’s new Autumn/Winter collection. This is a British luxury fashion house, created and founded by Alexander McQueen (deceased) himself in 1992. This fashion house has as its creative director, Sarah Burton. Since its beginning that this fashion house is known for the irreverence of its pieces of clothing, and also for their collection’s extravagant presentations. This collection has the following title, “The Spirit of the Rose“.

On the contrary to the collection I presented you guys last week (which you can see here), this collection is a lot more sober and a lot less colourful and, cliché as it can be, it really goes along what people usually associate with the colder seasons. This collection is mostly based on black and nude colours (outfits 10, 11 and 12). We can identify here the following trends: coats (outfits 1, 4 and 10), leather (outfits 1, 2, 4 and 5), pleated skirts (outfits 5, 8 and 11), midi and maxi-dresses (outfits 2, 3, 6, 7 and 9), embroidery (outfits 10 and 11), transparency (outfits 5, 6, 7, 9 and 12), frills (outfit 6), and patterns (outfits 7 and 8). Some of the pieces of clothing in this collection, mainly the transparent dresses, do remind me of this fashion house’s Spring/Summer collection, which you can check here.

Ao contrário da colecção que vos apresentei na semana passada (que podem ver aqui), esta é uma colecção muito mais sóbria e, clichés aparte, aquilo a que se associa as estações mais frias. Esta é uma colecção que se baseia sobretudo no preto e no nude (conjuntos 10, 11 e 12), por assim dizer. Podemos identificar aqui as seguintes tendências: casacos (conjuntos 1, 4 e 10), cabedal (conjuntos 1, 2, 4 e 5), saias plissadas (conjuntos 5, 8 e 11), vestidos midi e maxi (conjuntos 2, 3, 6, 7 e 9), bordados (conjuntos 10 e 11), transparências (conjuntos 5, 6, 7, 9 e 12), folhos (conjunto 6) e padrões (conjuntos 7 e 8). Algumas peças desta colecção, em especial os vestidos mais transparentes, fazem-me lembrar a colecção de Primavera/Verão deste ano, que podem ver aqui.

Palmer Harding @ London Fashion Week Spring 2016

E poucos dias depois… Hoje apresento-vos a nova colecção de Primavera/Verão da Palmer Harding. Esta é uma marca de design para homens e mulheres, fundada por Levi Palmer e Matthew Harding, a qual foi lançada pela primeira vez em 2011. Estes dois estilistas começaram o seu trabalho nesta marca ao renovarem o conceito de ‘camisa’, tendo conseguido ter várias das suas peças de roupa presentes em números das Vogue’s Americana e Britânica.

And a couple of days later… Today I am presenting you guys the new Palmer Harding’s Spring/Summer collection. This is a men’s and women’s designer label founded by Levi Palmer and Matthew Harding, and which was launched for the first time in 2011. These fashion designers started their work at this label by renewing the concept of ‘shirt’, having so far had their pieces of clothing shown-cased in spreads of the American and British Vogue.

Being this a very very small collection, these are almost all the outfits that were presented during the catwalk. Similarly to the previous collections, this brand shows an immense use of nude colours, with the exception of a few brighter colours (such as blue and red). This collection focus on the following trends: asymmetry (outfits 1, 4, 7, 9 and 12), transparency (outfits 2, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11 and 12), leather (outfits 3 and 10), patterns (outfits 2, 5, 6 and 11), and pleated skirts (outfits 8 and 9).

À semelhança da colecção anterior, esta marca também aposto essencialmente em tons nude, com a excepção de alguns resquícios de cores mais vivas (como azuis e vermelhos). Holly Fulton @ London Fashion Week Spring 2016

E aqui estamos para mais um post nesta rubrica de moda. Hoje apresento-vos a nova colecção de Primavera/Verão da Holly Fulton. Esta é uma casa de moda britânica fundada em 2009 pela própria Holly Fulton. As suas colecções são apresentadas em ambas as Semanas da Moda de Londres e Hong Kong. Esta casa de moda é melhor conhecida pelo seu uso de gráficos ousados e motivos a três dimensões, pelo como pelos seus padrões inspirados na Art Deco.

And here we are for another post on this fashion rubric. Today I am presenting the new Holly Fulton’s Spring/Summer collection. This is a British fashion house founded in 2009 by Holly Fulton herself. Its collections are featured in both London and Hong Kong fashion weeks. This fashion house is best known for its use of bold graphic and 3D motifs, and also for its Art Deco and retro-inspired prints.

This is very colourful collection, even though all this colour is mainly provided by the use of dark and strong shades. However I must add that lighter shades, mostly pastel colours, are also present in this collection, despite the fact that they aren’t featured on this post. We are once more we are in the presence of fluid pieces of clothing, as is the case of the use of chiffon (outfits 2, 9 and 12), and in the presence of a variety of patterns (present in all outfits, for the exception of the eight one), embroidery and/or prints (outfits 1, 3, 4, 7, 8, 11 and 12). Besides this, this collection also features pencil-skirts (outfits 1, 2 and 3) and the use of frills (outfits 3, 5, 6, 11 and 12). The very last outfit is without a doubt one of my favourites.

Esta é uma colecção bastante colorida, embora toda esta cor seja principalmente conferida por tons escuros e/ou fortes. É de acrescentar que existem outras peças em tons mais claros, nomeadamente em torno de tons pastel, que apenas não estão presentes nestas imagens. Estamos novamente na presença de peças fluídas, como é o caso do uso de chiffon (conjuntos 2, 9 e 12), e de uma variedade de padrões (presente em todos os conjuntos, excepto o oitavo), bordados e/ou estampados (conjuntos 1, 3, 4, 7, 8, 11 e 12). Para além disto, esta colecção também se baseia muito em saias-lápis (conjuntos 1, 2 e 3) e no uso de folhos (conjuntos 3, 5, 6, 11 e 12). O último conjunto é sem dúvida um dos meus favoritos.

Hunter Original @ London Fashion Week Spring 2016

O post de hoje não é acerca de uma casa de moda, mas sim acerca de uma marca como que menos luxuosa. Esta é a nova colecção de Primavera/Verão da Hunter Original. Esta linha pertence à Hunter Boot Ltd., uma marca britânica de galochas e outro calçado de borracha, fundada por Henry Lee Norris em 1856. Para além de ser melhor conhecida pelas suas galochas, esta marca também produz roupa e acessórios.

Today’s post isn’t about a fashion house but about a somewhat less-luxury brand. This is the new Hunter Original’s Spring/Summer collections. This line belongs to Hunter Boot Ltd., a rubber wellington boot and footwear British brand, founded by Henry Lee Norris in 1856. Apart from being best known for their wellington boots, this brand also produces clothing and accessories.

This collection definitely transmits a light, colourful and sporty vibe. Perhaps sporty is the new casual. There is plenty to choose from when it comes to colours: from darker and more neutral colours to pastel and bright ones. But the main highlight of this collections is entered around its rubberised coats (outfits 1, 2, 3, 4 and 7), some of which are semi-transparent (outfits 5, 10 and 11). Despite it all, some more usual trens weren’t forgotten: there’re different patterns (outfits 1, 4, 5, 7 and 11) to choose from, along with midi-dresses, skirts, shorts, and shirts. This collection is basically the perfect choice for Glastonbury, or for a really rainy country.

Esta colecção transmite definitivamente uma sensação colorida, desportiva e de leveza. Se calhar desportivo é o novo casual. Há muito por onde escolher no que diz respeito a cores: desde tons escuros e mais neutros, até aos tons pastel e vivos. Mas o destaque principal vai mesmo para os casacos de borracha (conjuntos 1, 2, 3, 4 e 7), alguns dos quais são semi-transparentes (conjuntos 5, 10 e 11). Apesar disto, algumas das tendências mais comuns não foram esquecidas: também há muito para escolher no que toca a padrões (conjuntos 1, 4, 5, 7 e 11), para além de vestidos “midi”, saias, calções e camisas. Esta colecção é basicamente a escolha perfeita para Glastonbury, ou para um país verdadeiramente chuvoso.

Emilia Wickstead @ London Fashion Week Spring 2016

Hoje apresento-vos uma coleção bastante feminina – não que as anteriores não o sejam ou que as colecções para mulheres tenham de ser de um certo tipo; é simplesmente uma maneira fácil de descrever a paleta de cores utilizada. Esta é a nova colecção de Primavera/Verão da Emilia Wickstead. Esta é uma marca britânica fundada pela própria Emilia Wickstead em 2008. Ela tem vindo a apresentar as suas colecções sazonais de ponto-a-vestir na Semana da Moda de Londres desde 2012. Ela é melhor conhecida por já ter visto a Duquesa de Cambridge, Catherine.

Today I am presenting a rather feminine collection – not that the previous ones aren’t or that women collections have to be a certain type; it’s an easy way to describe the colour palette presented. This is the new Emilia Wickstead’s new Spring/Summer collection. This is a British brand funded by Emilia Wickstead herself in 2008. She has been presenting her seasonal ready-to-wear collections at London Fashion Week since 2012. She is best known for having dressed Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.

This collection is based almost either on pastel colours (outfits 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7) or on neutral colours, such as white (outfits 1 and 2). The brighter, more vivid colours are present mostly in the use of floral patterns (outfits 10, 11 and 12). The use of a dark mustard colour in the outfits 8 and 9 make it look like that their pieces of clothing are made of suede. Moreover we can still highlight other trends: crop-tops (outfit 11) and maxi-dresses and -skirts (outfits 1, 2, 9 and 10). Lastly, the pieces of clothing in the outfit 7 (together with others that are not presented here) seem to have been based on pieces of clothing from the 1940s or 1950s.

Esta colecção baseia-se quase ou em cores pastel (conjuntos 3, 4, 5, 6 e 7) ou em cores neutras, como o branco (conjuntos 1 e 2). As cores mais vivas estão presentes sobretudo no uso de padrões florais (conjuntos 10, 11 e 12). O uso de um amarelo torrado nos conjuntos 8 e 9 fazem com que estas peças de roupa se assemelhem a camurça. De resto destacam-se as seguintes tendências: crop-tops (conjunto 11) e vestidos/saias compridas (conjuntos 1, 2, 9 e 10). Por último, as peças do conjunto 7 (juntamente com outras peças não apresentadas aqui) parecem terem sido inspiradas em peças de roupa dos anos 40 ou 50.

Hoje venho apresentar-vos uma colecção, provavelmente, da minha casa de moda favorita de todos os tempos. Esta é a nova colecção de Primavera/Verão da Burberry Prorsum. A Burberry é uma casa de moda britânica e, atrevo-me a dizer que será, talvez, a mais famosa e conhecida mundialmente. Fundada em 1856 por Thomas Burberry, esta marca de luxo tem não só colecções de roupa e de acessórios, como também está presente nos campos da joalharia, perfumaria e maquilhagem. Para além do seu tão famoso padrão, uma das imagens de marca da Burberry são as suas “trench coats”, criadas em 1880. Até ao momento, a Burberry conta com três colecções distintas: Burberry Prorsum, Burberry London e Burberry Brit.

Today I will show you a collection from probably my favourite fashion house ever. This is the new Burberry Prorsum’s Spring/Summer collection. Burberry is a British fashion house and I even dare to say that it must be, perhaps, the most famous worldwide. Founded in 1856 by Thomas Burberry, this luxury brand has not only clothing and accessory collections, but also jewellery, perfumery and make-up collections. Besides their famous pattern, one of its branding images are their trench coats, created in 1880. As of now, Burberry has three distinct collections: Burberry Prorsum, Burberry London and Burberry Brit.

This collection is really sombre, considering that it is mostly based on neutral colours, such as black, grey, and white. Besides these colours one can also mention the use of yellow, blue, and red, which aren’t as important as the first ones. This collection doesn’t bring us new trends, i.e. it doesn’t presents us anything that we haven’t already seen in collections from past seasons. However, this collection does show us that these trends have a more expressive voice these days. What we can highlight here is the transformation of pieces of clothing, that we’d normally place among the lingerie category, into easily-wearable pieces of clothing for our day-to-day outfits, even if only under certain circumstances (outfits 4, 7 and 12). What these pieces of clothing have of so characteristic about them are their laced details (outfits 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9 and 10) and the transparency of their fabrics (outfits 4, 5, 7, 11 and 12). And as always patterns (outfits 6 and 11) are once again present in yet another collection. I am honestly in love with all the pieces of clothing in this collection. The dresses in the second set are more than perfect for our daily activities, and the last one is the perfect choice for any red carpet, for those of us that are more edgy and provocative, in a matter of speaking.

Esta colecção é bastante sombria, visto que ela se baseia sobretudo em cores neutras, como o preto, o cinzento e o branco. A estas cores pode-se ainda referir o uso de amarelos, azuis e vermelhos, ainda que com um destaque muito mais reduzido. Esta colecção não nos traz tendências novas, ou seja, não nos apresenta nada que já não seja do nosso conhecimento de colecções de estações passadas. Contudo, ela demonstra-nos que estas tendências têm uma cada vez maior expressão no mundo da moda. O que se destaca aqui é a transformação de peças de roupa, as quais se podiam enquadrar na categoria de roupa interior, em peças que se podem usar no dia-a-dia, ainda que apenas dentro de certas circunstâncias (conjuntos 4, 7 e 12). O que estas peças têm de tão característico são os seus detalhes em renda (conjuntos 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9 e 10) e a transparência dos seus tecidos (conjuntos 4, 5, 7, 11 e 12). E como de costume os padrões (conjuntos 6 e 11) não deixam de estar presentes nesta colecção. Eu estou honestamente apaixonada por todas as peças desta colecção. Os vestidos no segundo grupo são mais do que perfeitos para o dia-a-dia, e o último vestido deles todos é digno de qualquer red carpet, para aquelas que têm um estilo mais “edgy” e provocador, talvez.

E como uma pequena nota em relação à colecção para homens… Duas das suas principais tendências estão em sintonia com o que eu já descrevi para a colecção de mulher: os detalhes em renda (conjuntos 1, 2 e 3) e a transparência dos tecidos (conjunto 3). Se para as mulheres destacam-se sobretudo os vestidos, para os homens destacam-se os seus fatos, nomeadamente os casacos e os blazers. O conjunto do meio é o meu favorito. Ele está absolutamente espectacular. A camisa é absolutamente fantástica, mas o que realmente chamou a minha atenção foram as calças. Num tecido semelhante às calças de um fato de treino, elas são aqui usadas num conjunto mais formal. É uma conjugação invulgar mas que resulta, na minha opinião, na perfeição.

And as a brief comment on the men’s collection… Two of its main trends are in tune with what I’ve just mentioned for the women’s collection: the laced details (outfits 1, 2 and 3) and the transparency of its fabrics (outfit 3). If for women we can highlight their dresses, for men it’s their suits, namely the coats and blazers. The outfit in the middle is by far my favourite. It is absolutely gorgeous. Its shirt is beyond perfect, but what really caught my attention were the pants. Made in a fabric similar to those of tracksuits, these ones are used in a highly formal outfit. It is an unusual conjugation but that works perfectly, in my humble opinion.

Mulberry @ London Fashion Week Fall 2015

Depois de uma pequena pausa nesta temática, hoje estou de volta com mais um post sobre as tendências para a presente época de Outono/Inverno. A colecção que vos trago hoje é de uma das minhas casas de moda britânicas favoritas. Assim, hoje apresento-vos a nova colecção de Outono/Inverno da Mulberry.

After a small break on this theme, today I am back with yet another post about the new trends for the present Autumn/Winter season. The collection that I am bringing you guys today is from one of my favourite British fashion houses. Thus, today I will present you guys the new Mulberry’s Autumn/Winter collection.

Best known for its women’s handbags, Mulberry is a British fashion house founded in 1971 by Roger Saul, that has a ready-to-wear line too. However, it is truly famous for its handbags, especially the “Alexa Chung” handbag. Despite having very beautiful pieces of clothing, I still prefer their handbags’ collections. I wouldn’t mind at all (but then who would?) having one of the handbags shown in the pictures, especially the black one in the sixth photo.

Melhor conhecida pelas suas malas para senhoras, a Mulberry é uma casa de moda britânica, fundada em 1971 por Roger Saul, que tem também uma linha de pronto-a-vestir. No entanto, ela é realmente famosa pelas suas malas, especialmente pela mala “Alexa Chung”. Apesar de ter peças de roupa lindas, a verdade é que eu continuo a preferir as suas colecções de malas. Eu não me importaria de todo (aliás, quem é que se importaria?) em ter uma das malas que se vê nas imagens, especialmente a mala preta da sexta imagem.

Tal como as restantes colecções que vos tenho vindo a mostrar, esta também apresenta um conjunto de cores mais sóbrias e ténues. Existe aqui um bom contraste entre cores mais escuras, como o preto e o azul, e cores mais claras, como o rosa, o cinzento e o branco. Para além destes aspectos, esta colecção conta com as seguintes tendências: pêlo (conjuntos 5 e 7), casacos oversize (conjuntos 7 e 10), padrões (conjuntos (5, 6, 9, 11 e 12) e cabedal (conjunto 8). Há que admitir que embora estas peças de roupa sejam todas lindíssimas, a verdade é que morro de amores pelas malas desta casa de moda – são todas simplesmente perfeitas.

As I’ve been mentioning in the previous collections that I’ve shown you, this one also has a group of more sober and tenuous colours. There’s a really good contrast between darker colours, such as black and blue, and lighter colours, such as pink, grey and white. Other than these aspects, we can also find the following trends in this collection: fur (outfits 5 and 7), oversized coats (outfits 7 and 10), patterns (outfits 5, 6, 9, 11 and 12) and leather (outfit 8). I must admit that even though these pieces of clothing are all absolutely gorgeous, the truth is that I’ll always be head over heels in love with the handbags from this fashion house – they’re all simply perfect.

Preen @ London Fashion Week Fall 2015

E hoje estamos de volta ao mundo da Moda. Continuando ainda na Semana de Moda de Londres, hoje apresento-vos uma casa de moda talvez pouco conhecida, mas que sem dúvida merecia muito mais destaque. Eu própria posso-me incluir nesta lista porque até esta altura eu não sabia da existência de tal casa de moda, mas fiquei fascinada com ela mal a vi. É uma colecção simples mas elegante, e acima de tudo fácil de ser usada no dia-a-dia. Eu sou super difícil de agradar no que toca a colecções de Outono/Inverno, mas esta tornou-se num abrir e fechar de olhos numa das minhas colecções favoritas de 2015. Sem mais demoras, hoje apresento-vos a colecção de Outono/Inverno da Preen.

And today we are back to the world of Fashion. Still within the context of the London Fashion Week, today I present you guys a fashion house that is perhaps little known, but that without doubt deserved so much more recognition. I myself can be put in this list because until this moment I had no idea of the existence of such fashion house, but I was completely fascinated by it when I first saw it. It is a simple yet stylish collection, and above anything else super easy to use as a day-to-day outfit. I’m super picky when it comes to Autumn/Winter collections, but in a blink of an eye this has become one of my favourite collections from 2015. But without further ado, today I present you guys the new Preen’s Autumn/Winter collection.

Preen is a fashion house created in 1996 by Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi. This fashion house started as a simple shop at Notting Hill, in London, but five short years later its collections were already being featured at the London Fashion Week. From early Briton to Victorian and punk trash, Preen is best known for its designer’s use of antique fabrics. Since 2008 that this duo (and couple) has created a second collection – Preen Line, with a little rock and roll touch.

A Preen é uma casa de moda criada em 1996 por Justin Thornton e Thea Bregazzi. Esta casa de moda começou como uma simples loja em Notting Hill, em Londres, mas depois de uns curtos cinco anos, as suas colecções encontravam-se já a serem apresentadas na Semana de Moda de Londres. Desde o “early Briton” até ao Victoriano e ao “punk trash”, a Preen é conhecida pelo uso de tecidos antigos pelos seus criadores. Desde 2008 que esta dupla (e casal) criou uma segunda colecção – Preen Line, com um toque de “rock and roll”.

O elemento de destaque desta colecção é sem dúvida o seu conjunto de padrões. Para além do tal conhecido padrão floral (conjunto 5), desta vez contamos com a presença de um padrão inspirado no retalho de tecidos (conjuntos 1, 3, 4, 8 e 9). Não fosse esta uma colecção de Outono/Inverno, as peças de destaque são os casacos (conjuntos 1, 2 e 3), aliás sem dúvida algumas das minhas peças favoritas desta colecção. Esta colecção apresenta também as seguintes tendências: assimetria (conjunto 3, 4 e 5), transparência (conjuntos 11 e 12), pêlo e lã (conjunto 2) e crop tops de malha (conjunto 7, 8 e 9).

The element of greater highlight in this collection is without a doubt its patterns. Apart from the well-known floral pattern (outfit 5), this time we also have the presence of a patterns inspired in patchwork (outfits 1, 3, 4, 8 and 9). Since we are talking about a Autumn/Winter collection, it is not to admire that the piece of clothing that deserves to be highlighted is the coat (outfits 1, 2 and 3a), which is without a doubt one of my favourite pieces of clothing from this collection. This collection also presents the following trends: asymmetry (outfits 3, 4 and 5), transparency (outfits 11 and 12), fur and wool (outfit 2) and knit crop tops (outfits 7, 8 and 9).

Burberry Prorsum @ London Fashion Week Fall 2015

Com a chegada do Outono no próximo mês, é altura de trazer esta rubrica de volta. Depois de vos ter mostrado ao longo da primeira metade deste ano as tendências para a Primavera/Verão, eis que chega a altura de vos dar a conhecer as novas tendências para o Outono/Inverno, com base nas colecções de casas de moda internacionais. E não podia começar de melhor maneira, com uma das minhas casas de moda britânicas favoritas. Hoje apresento-vos a colecção de Outono/Inverno da Burberry Prorsum.

With the arrival of Autumn on the next month, it is time to bring back this rubric. After having shown throughout the first half of this year the trends for Spring/Summer, it is now time to present you guys the new trends for this Autumn/Winter season, based on the collections of international fashion houses. And I couldn’t start this rubric in a better way, with one of my favourite British fashion houses. Today I present you guys the new Burberry Prorsum’s Autumn/Winter collection.

Burberry is a British fashion house and I even dare to say that it must be, perhaps, the most famous worldwide. Founded in 1856 by Thomas Burberry, this luxury brand has not only clothing and accessory collections, but also jewellery, perfumery and make-up collections. Besides their famous pattern, one of its branding images are their trench coats, created in 1880. As of now, Burberry has three distinct collections: Burberry Prorsum, Burberry London and Burberry Brit.

A Burberry é uma casa de moda britânica e, atrevo-me a dizer que será, talvez, a mais famosa e conhecida mundialmente. Fundada em 1856 por Thomas Burberry, esta marca de luxo tem não só colecções de roupa e de acessórios, como também está presente nos campos da joalharia, perfumaria e maquilhagem. Para além do seu tão famoso padrão, uma das imagens de marca da Burberry são as suas “trench coats”, criadas em 1880. Até ao momento, a Burberry conta com três colecções distintas: Burberry Prorsum, Burberry London e Burberry Brit.

Uma vez que estas são duas estações mais sombrias e escuras, o claro destaque vai para o uso de cores neutras, como o preto, e para tonalidades mais escuras das restantes cores. Deste modo, tem-se também como côr-tendência o castanho, o azul, o rosa, o vermelho, o laranja e o amarelo. Em continuação com o que se tinha visto para as estações anteriores, o uso de camurça continua em alta (conjuntos 5 e 12), bem como o uso de pêlo (conjunto 3). Continuam a usar-se vestidos e saias quer com um curto cumprimento (conjuntos 3, 4 10, 11 e 12), quer com um longo cumprimento (conjuntos 7, 8 e 9). E está claro, há que não esquecer a presença dos mais diversos padrões. No entanto as principais novidades vão para o uso de franjas (conjuntos 2, 5 e 12) e para o “bomber jacket” (conjunto 5).

Since these two seasons are more dreary and darker, the main highlight in this collection goes for the use of neutral colours, such as black, and darker shades from the remaining ones. Thus, we also have as colour-trends brown, blue, pink, red, orange and yellow. From what we’ve seen for the previous seasons, the use of suede is still very much present (outfits 5 and 12), as well as the use of fur (outfit 3). Short-length (outfits 3, 4, 10, 11 and 12) and long-length (outfits 7, 8 and 9) skirts and dress are also a main presente in this collection. And of course we couldn’t forget the presence of a multitude of patterns. However, the true highlight goes for the use of tassels (outfits 2, 5 and 12) and for the bomber jacket (outfit 5).

Este primeiro post vem com uma extra. Apesar de as colecções para homem terem os seus próprios eventos, alguns desfiles conta com a apresentação de alguns modelos, como aqueles que podem ver na imagem acima. De um modo geral, a caracterização que é feita para a colecção de mulheres pode ser transportada para a de homens. O fato no primeiro conjunto é simplesmente lindíssimo.

This first post comes with an extra. Even though men collections have their own events, some fashion shows do count with the presence of a few male outfits, as the ones you can see in the above picture. In a general way, the description I made for the women collection can be transferred to the men collection. The suit in the first outfit is simply gorgeous.
