Antonio Berardi @ London Fashion Week Spring 2014

Depois de outra mini-pausa por estes lados, penso que irei ter um bocadinho de mais tempo livre. O pior deste mês já passou porque já terminei os meus testes, se bem que ainda falta acabar uns quantos trabalhos, fazer as frequências de Junho e acabar/entregar o meu relatório de seminário. Ok, se calhar continua a não me sobrar muito tempo livre, mas pelo menos para já não terei de fazer sessões intensivas de estudo para testes. Mas passando ao que interessa… Hoje voltamos ao tema das tendência para a Primavera e o Verão, e também à semana de moda em Londres (Inglaterra). Por isso, hoje apresento-vos a nova colecção de Primavera/Verão de Antonio Berardi.

After another sort of pause from the blog, I think I’ll have a little bit more of free time. The worst of this month is already gone because I finished my tests, even thought I still have a couple of essays to finish, a couple of exams to do in June, and finish my third year dissertation. Well, maybe I still don’t have that much free time left, but at least for now I won’t have to do study-marathons for tests. Nevertheless, let’s just focus on this posts. We’re once back in fashion matters, and we’re back to London’s fashion week. Today I’ll show you guys, this year’s Antonio Berardi Spring/Summer collection.

I know that, normally, I introduce you guys to collections from fashion houses, but I think today’s not the case. I’m not exactly sure what kind of collection this is, so I’ll just assume, in the absence of more clear data, that this is simply a luxury brand. Antonio Berardi created this British brand (with his name) on 1995. His pieces of clothes have been wore by many celebrities, including Jessica Alba, Bryce Dallas Howard, Kerry Washington, and Naomi Watts.

Eu sei que, por norma, vos tenho estado a apresentar colecções de casas de moda, mas hoje penso que este não é um desses casos. Não tenho bem a certeza que tipo de colecção é esta, por isso, vou assumir que, na ausência de dados mais claros, esta é simplesmente uma marca de luxo. Antonio Berardi criou esta marca britânica (com o seu nome) em 1995. As suas peças têm sido usadas por várias celebridades, entre as quais, Jessica Alba, Bryce Dallas Howard, Kerry Washington e Naomi Watts.

Para além dos tons pretos sempre presentes, esta colecção destaca-se também pela presença de conjuntos pretos-e-brancos (como os das imagens 2, 3 e 4). Em termos de cores, mantém-se um contraste entre cores mais escuras (como o preto e o vermelho) e cores mais claras (como o rosa, o cinzento e o branco). Esta colecção apresenta também outras três tendências: a transparência (apenas como pormenor, como nas imagens 1, 4, 5 e 7); a assimetria (aqui apenas em vestidos, como os das imagens 1, 3, 4 e 9); o metalizado (como nas peças das imagens 8 e 11). Os vestidos desta marca são simplesmente lindos. A minha peça favorita é o casaco cor-de-rosa da imagem 9.

Apart from the always present black shades, this collections stands out by its black-and-white outfits (like the ones in images 2, 3, and 4). In terms of colours, a contrast between darker colours (as black and red) and brighter colours (as pink, grey, and white) still persists. This collections also introduces us to other three trends: transparency (only used as a detail, as it’s shown on images 1, 4, 5, and 7), asymmetry (only present on dresses, such as the ones on pictures 1, 3, 4, and 9), metallized effect (shown in pieces from the images 8 and 11). The dresses from this brand are simply gorgeous. My favourite piece of clothing is the pink jacket from the outfit on picture 9.
