Michael Kors @ New York Fashion Week Spring 2015

É certo que ainda estamos bem no início do Inverno, mas a verdade é que algumas lojas já começam a expôr pequenas “amostras” das suas novas colecções. Ao fim de basicamente meio ano (muito devido à minha preguiça, admito), trago de volta esta temática para o blog. Como fiz no ano passado, em vez de vos mostrar as novas tendências individualmente, vou optar por mostrá-las com base em colecções de casas de moda internacionais. Deste modo, hoje apresento-vos a nova colecção de Primavera/Verão da Michael Kors.

I know we are still at the very beginning of the Winter, but the truth is that some stores have already started showing small “samples” of their new collections. After almost half a year (mainly due to my laziness, I must admit), I bringing back this theme into the blog again. As I did last year, instead of showing you guys the new trends individually, I will opt by showing them through the collections of international fashion houses. Therefore, today I present you guys the new Michael Kors’ Spring/Summer collection.

Michael Kors is an American fashion house with clothing lines for both men and women. It was created around the 1980’s by Karl Anderson, Jr. (aka, Michael Kors). His clothes (namely gowns) have been worn by several celebrities, such as Rachel McAdams, Jennifer Garner, and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

A Michael Kors é uma casa de moda americana com linhas de roupa tanto para homens como para mulheres. Ela foi criada na década de 1980 por Karl Anderson Jr. (também conhecido como Michael Kors). As suas roupa (nomeadamente vestidos de gala) têm sido usados por várias celebridades, como a Rachel McAdams, a Jennifer Garner e a Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Um dos detalhes que tenho reparado nos últimos anos é que deixou de haver um conjunto de cores específicas para determinada estação. É certo que há cores que se vêem mais no Inverno e outras no Verão, mas esta é uma diferenciação quase inexistente. Deste modo, para a próxima Primavera/Verão podemos contar com uma mistura de cores claras (como o branco e o bege) com cores mais escuras (como o azul, o cinzento e o preto). E como tem vindo a ser a norma, as cores vivas também estão em alta. O uso de padrões continua a estar presente – nomeadamente o padrão floral (conjuntos 4, 10 e 11), bem como as peças rendilhadas (conjuntos 1, 2 e 4) e peças transparentes (conjuntos 6, 7, 8 e 16).

One of the details that I’ve been noticing in the last couple of years is that there isn’t a group of colours that is specific to a certain season. It’s true that there are some colours that we see more often in Winter and others in Summer, but this is a distinction almost non-existent nowadays. Therefore, for the next Spring/Summer we can count with a mixture of light colours (such as white and beige) and darker colours (such as blue, grey and black). And as usual, bright colours are always a must-see trend. The use of patterns is still very much present – namely the floral pattern (outfits 4, 10, and 11), as well as the use of lace (outfits 1, 2, and 4) and transparency (outfits 6, 7, 8, and 16).
