Following last week’s Golden Globe Awards ceremony, yesterday the finest and best actors and actresses of 2013 were awarded with their respective Screen Actors Guild awards for their outstanding performances in films, TV films, TV series and miniseries. This award (as the rest from the other unions) has a really low media coverage outside of the USA, which I think it’s wrong and bad. Obviously it is not quite important as a Golden Globe or an Oscar but still, it’s an important accolade for both actors and actresses.
And it’s not all. Together with last week’s ceremony, this award ceremony is also seen as a preview of its respective Academy Awards ceremony. Written in English because once again it just felt appropriate, here they are, this year’s 20th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards winners.

After the Golden Globe Awards, these winners were quite predictable. However, there were little surprises along the way. And these might be the winners for this year’s Academy Awards ceremony. I thought that Jennifer Lawrence’s several nominations were a guaranteed win but I couldn’t be more wrong. I guess the “best supporting actress” category won’t be that easy to predict for the Oscars. Finally, I’m once again very happy that Jared Leto won, even though I’ve yet to see his film. What do you guys have to say about this year’s winners?
This red carpet never actually does dazzle me and this time it was no exception. I mean, don’t get me wrong because there were some really pretty dresses but the overall is just… not good enough. Elisabeth Rohm’s dress was one of my favourites. The dress itself it’s gorgeous and I really like its pattern. I just love Hannah Simone’s dress. It’s simple yet absolutely beautiful. It’s a fairy tale kind of dress. Amy Adams looked gorgeous on that dress, even though I’m not a big fan of its upper part. The only thing I would change is her hairstyle, I just didn’t like it at all. Lupita Nyong’o looked wonderful once more. I didn’t like the dress’ colour but it was a really good choice for her. And now the top 3 dresses I didn’t like (there’s a lot more but I decided to choose these three). First Jennifer Garner’s dress. It has a good colour but… it’s so boring. I’ll have to admit that I find Cate Blachett’s dress to be quite weird. And that dark pink it’s just not pretty at all. However, I think the worst was Jennifer Lawrence’s dress. I love her and I think she has a good sense of style but this time she just failed miserably. There’s absolutely nothing in that dress that I like. What do you guys think of this year’s red carpet looks?
